    Karne Sirisha, also known as Barrelakka, has decided to run for the Nagarkurnool Lok Sabha seat by filing her nomination as an MP candidate. She gained popularity after participating in the recent Assembly elections as an independent candidate for Kollapur Assembly constituency, where she received 5,754 votes.

    Barrelakka rose to fame with a video where she talked about her struggles in finding employment despite having a degree, and mentioned her work in rearing buffaloes. This led to her being known as the “sister of buffaloes.” She then used social media to speak out about the issue of unemployment. After the election, she expressed gratitude for the support she received from voters, attributing it to her honesty and dedication to fighting for people’s issues.
