Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, has called on the Telangana government to grant a tax exemption for the movie The Sabarmati Report. He praised the film for uncovering alleged conspiracies by the Congress party and certain sections of the media, which he claimed distorted historical facts and misrepresented the Godhra incident. Sanjay lauded the filmmakers, actors, and producers for creating what he described as an extraordinary movie.
The Minister watched the film at GVK Mall in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, accompanied by BJP state vice-president Dr. G Manohar Reddy, SC Morcha National Secretary S Kumar, State Treasurer Shantikumar, Dr. Prakash Reddy, and party spokesperson J Sangappa. After the screening, he said, “‘The Sabarmati Report is a remarkable film. Hats off to the director, producer, and actors. This is a must-watch for everyone. It is a film without controversies, revealing the truth, which is as potent as fire.”
Bandi Sanjay accused the Congress party of distorting the country’s history by adding baseless narratives and concealing facts. He alleged that during the Godhra incident, Congress supported one group to incite communal hatred for political gains. According to him, the film exposes the conspiracy behind the killing of karsevaks returning from Ayodhya.
The Minister also raised concerns about ongoing attempts to suppress the truth, claiming that such conspiracies still exist today. He criticized the Congress party for manipulating facts and mentioned instances of certain communities celebrating Pakistan’s cricket victories in India. He referred to the presence of “mini Pakistans” and “mini Bangladeshs” in the country, emphasizing the need for societal awareness and change.
Bandi Sanjay urged Congress workers to watch the film and understand the truth. He pointed out that the Uttar Pradesh government had already granted a tax exemption for the movie and appealed to the Telangana state government to do the same.
