Bandi Sanjay Kumar Not in the Race for BJP State President
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, stated that he is not competing for the position of BJP State president. Speaking on Sunday, he clarified that he is fully focused on fulfilling the responsibilities assigned to him by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a Union Minister.
Bandi Sanjay dismissed speculation about his potential elevation to State president, calling it baseless. He explained that the party leadership is not currently prioritizing the appointment of a State president and urged people to ignore such rumors.
The Union Minister further alleged that some individuals were spreading false information to harm both him and the party. He emphasized that the final decision on the State president’s appointment lies with the party high command and must be respected by all.
Bandi Sanjay also highlighted that decisions within the BJP, from polling booth presidents to the national president, are made collectively. He noted that the party is currently conducting organizational elections, and discussions about district and State president appointments have not yet taken place.
While acknowledging that some supporters may promote his name out of admiration, he reiterated that he is not in the race for the State president role. He also clarified that the high command has made no decision in this regard.
Lastly, he appealed to media and social media platforms to avoid publishing unverified stories that could damage the party’s image or his reputation. He urged everyone to respect the high command’s authority and decisions on such matters.
