The Centre has responded positively to the Karimnagar-Hasanparthy railway line, according to State BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar. After meeting with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, he said that senior officials have been directed to conduct a survey and submit a report within two weeks. The final decision on allocation and start of the railway line work will be taken after receiving the report. Bandi also requested a stop at Komaravelli for a new railway station and urged for the development of the Jammikunta railway station. The completion of the 62 km railway line will serve people in combined Karimnagar and Warangal districts, and aid transportation of granite industries and agricultural products like paddy, pulses, and turmeric. Bandi also met with Union Jalashakti Minister Gajendra Shekawat to discuss corrective measures on the State’s share of Krishna water.
