Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who is the BJP State president, accused the Chief Minister KCR of neglecting the problems faced by ration dealers in the state. He said that the government had not addressed the issues faced by the dealers for years and that it was disappointing that the Chief Minister had not even spoken to them. Sanjay claimed that despite a strike notice issued by the dealers on May 22, no action had been taken, and the government had failed to keep its promise. This had forced the dealers to go on strike, causing severe hardship to around 91 lakh families who had been deprived of their monthly ration.

Sanjay also alleged that the State government was not distributing rice to the poor, even though the Central government was providing it free of cost. He said that while the ration dealers worked tirelessly during the COVID-19 pandemic, risking their lives, the government was not paying them their commission on time. He also accused the State government of being lax in the purchase of paddy, which was affecting the livelihoods of farmers.

Sanjay demanded that the State government immediately address the problems faced by ration dealers and warned that his party would not remain silent if their demands were not met.
