The State BJP chief, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, wrote a letter to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. He questioned the construction of an idgah in Nirmal district that violates rules. The land that was allocated for a vocational training and skill up-gradation center is now being used for an idgah. This is against the rules, as lands meant for public purposes cannot be used for places of worship. Bandi Sanjay Kumar strongly condemned the allocation of land for the idgah. He said that it is a selfish political move that goes against court judgments.

The construction of the idgah near Hindu temples is also criticized by Bandi. He said that it could create disturbances among people of two communities. Ministers A Indrakaran Reddy and Mahmood Ali went to Chincholi to launch the idgah construction on forest land, which is unfortunate, according to Bandi. He demanded the revocation of the allocation of forest land.

Bandi warned that if the government goes ahead with its move, they will be constrained to move the court and take up a large-scale agitation by mobilizing public support. He criticized bureaucrats who are supposed to act according to rules but have chosen to remain silent.
