Sanjay also recalled the struggles of turmeric farmers in the region. He mentioned the unique move by 178 farmers, who filed nominations during the Lok Sabha elections to draw attention to the need for the board. He applauded MP Aravind for delivering on his written promise to establish the NTB, even going as far as to pledge his resignation if he failed. The Union Minister outlined the benefits the NTB is expected to bring to turmeric farmers. He explained that the board will help farmers earn better profits with minimal investments. It will determine product prices and ensure fair pricing even in cases of surplus production. The board will also directly purchase turmeric from farmers, store it in warehouses, and oversee branding, promotion, packaging, and exports at both national and international levels.

In addition to these measures, the central government will allocate special funds annually for the Turmeric Board. A price stabilization fund will be introduced, and crop insurance will be provided to protect farmers from losses caused by natural calamities. The board will also establish a quality department to conduct regular checks and improve the standard of turmeric products.

Bandi Sanjay concluded by expressing hope that the NTB would bring prosperity to turmeric farmers and transform their lives for the better. He emphasized that the formation of this board marks the beginning of a new era for turmeric cultivation in the region.
