BJP National General Secretary and Kaimragar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar criticized the State government for its double standards and religious discrimination. He expressed his disapproval of the government funding Tablighi Jamaat while neglecting the celebrations of Veera Baka Diwas and not providing funds for Ayyappa devotees at Sabarimala.

Kumar questioned why the government pays salaries to imams and pastors but not to temple priests and gurus. He highlighted the significance of Veera Bala Diwas, which commemorates the martyrdom of Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, the sons of the 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Govind Singh. These brave individuals stood up for their beliefs despite facing threats and torture from Emperor Aurangzeb.

Guru Govind Singh’s father, Guru Tej Bahadur, also refused to convert to Islam even when pressured by Aurangzeb. As a result, Aurangzeb beheaded Tej Bahadur. Guru Govind Singh, at just 9 years old, took over as a Sikh guru and became a warrior to protect the Sikh Dharma.

Kumar criticized the Congress and BRS parties for distorting history and praising the Mughal emperors. He called out so-called secularists for portraying these evil emperors as heroes and including their history in textbooks.

He also pointed out that the Congress party has aligned with the successors of the Razakars for votes, and now they are funding Tablighi Jamaat, which is banned by Islamic countries.

Kumar concluded his remarks by performing prayers at a local Gurudwara and visiting a photo exhibition.
