Balapur Police Break Contract Murder Case, Arrest Multiple Suspects

The Balapur Police have quickly solved the contract murder of Sri Khaja Riyajuddin, a 36-year-old man. They have arrested several people involved in the crime. The murder happened late on 8 August 2024, and the case is registered under Cr.No.300/2024, along with sections of the Arms Act.

The investigation started when Khaja Sirajuddin, Riyajuddin’s brother, found him in a pool of blood near the Indene Gas Go-down on the RCI-Mallapur road. Witnesses say that Riyajuddin was hit by a car, which led to a fight involving multiple attackers. One of the attackers reportedly shot him in the chest.

Police quickly identified and arrested the main suspects. Shaik Mohammed Hameed (A1) was named as the mastermind, along with Mohammed Saleem (A2) and others. Technical evidence and intelligence helped in their arrest. Hameed allegedly planned the murder due to a land dispute with Riyajuddin, as they had ongoing conflicts and threats against each other.

The investigation revealed a complex plan involving several people. Hameed (A1) was the main planner and provided money for the crime, while Saleem (A2) was the main assassin who executed the plan. Other helpers, including family and friends, arranged for weapons and vehicles.

The police found all the suspects at a guest house in Medipally. They seized a country-made firearm, axes, other weapons, cash, and blood-stained clothes. During questioning, the suspects confessed and revealed a well-thought-out plan that involved significant financial planning for the murder.

This case highlights serious issues like previous land disputes between Hameed and Riyajuddin, which led to this violent outcome. The Balapur police and the Rachakonda Commissionerate’s special units, led by Commissioner Sri G. Sudheer Babu, received praise for their quick and effective action in solving the case.

The police are still working to find other accomplices who are on the run and involved in this crime.
