District Additional Collector Apoorva Chauhan, along with other district officials, led an awareness rally in Gadwal on Tuesday morning as part of the SWEEP program mandated by the Election Commission of India. The 5k run began at Krishna Veni Chouk, with Chauhan waving a flag to start the event.

During the rally, Chauhan emphasized that all Indian citizens have the right to vote without discrimination. He stressed the importance of exercising this right to choose leaders based on their commitment to development and progress, rather than factors like caste or creed.

Chauhan directed all department officials to work together to raise awareness and increase voter turnout in the district. He specifically called for female students over 18 to register for voting by April 15 through Form-6, with efforts underway to register everyone through SWEEP programs.
