    The NSS Unit of Avinash College of Commerce in Himayatnagar commemorated World AIDS Day with an awareness rally. The rally aimed to promote unity with those affected by HIV/AIDS and spread awareness about the disease. The theme of the event was “One World, One Fight. End HIV Together.” It emphasized the importance of education, prevention, and support for those living with the virus, while also paying tribute to those who have lost their lives to HIV/AIDS.

    The rally began at the Avinash College campus in Himayatnagar and proceeded towards the Ambedkar statue. Around 100 NSS student volunteers participated, along with the college’s principal, Dr. YSS Savitri Devi, the NSS program officer, faculty coordinators, and other students.

    During the event, Dr. YSS Savitri Devi addressed the participants, highlighting the importance of raising awareness about AIDS. She emphasized the need for education, prevention, and the sharing of knowledge about the disease. She also spoke about the importance of showing empathy and support to those affected by HIV/AIDS.

    Through this rally, the NSS Unit of Avinash College of Commerce reinforced its commitment to social responsibility. The event empowered individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and fostered a sense of solidarity within the community.
