District officials in Wanaparthy are working hard to ensure a fair and code-compliant election process. They are conducting inspections, registering cases, and closely monitoring any violations of the election code.
One recent incident involved a complaint about a feast organized at a temple in Pathapalli. A case has been registered against BRS leader Vanam Ramulu for this violation.
In addition to the district center, 20 check posts have been set up in various areas, including Sariha Dullo. The authorities have seized Rs 29.53 lakh and 913 liters of liquor. They have also registered 35 excise cases and are actively identifying illicit liquor shops across the district.
The collector also mentioned surveillance on belt shops in Wanaparthy, Kolhapur, Devarakadra, and Maktal constituencies to prevent unrelated spending.
To ensure transparency, election officials are monitoring financial transactions and issuing notices for money transfers exceeding 10 lakhs. They are also calculating the expenses incurred by political parties during meetings and rallies and adding them to the candidates’ election expenditure.
The cooperation of the district’s residents is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the election process.
