Aurobindo Pharma Foundation (APF), the philanthropic and corporate social responsibility arm of Aurobindo Pharma Ltd, has made a generous donation of Rs 3.5 crore towards the construction of a modern police station in Bachupally, Hyderabad. The police station, which spans over 21,000 square feet and boasts 37 rooms, is set to be inaugurated on Friday by senior representatives from APF, dignitaries from the Police department, and the Government of Telangana.
The fast-growing economic hub of Cyberabad Commissionerate, which is home to a population of 70 lakh and 700 establishments, requires adequate law and order measures. Recognizing this need, a modern police station was proposed to be constructed in the Bachupally area. Understanding the prerequisites from the police department, APF came forward to lend a supporting hand and donated Rs 3.5 crore towards its construction.
The state-of-the-art police station is equipped with 10 SI cabins, 2 jail rooms, 2 large resting areas for men and women, a security guardroom, Station House Officer (SHO) rooms on two floors with exclusive resting areas and toilets, 2 Writer rooms, a record room, a CC Camera room, and 10 toilets each for men and women. APF’s Director, K Nityananda Reddy, who is also the MD & Vice Chairman of Aurobindo Pharma Ltd, expressed his commitment to the public safety and well-being of citizens. He further believes that this modern police station will provide much-needed assurance and security to the people in this region.
