Congress party is contending with multiple potential candidates for the upcoming elections in Lal Bahadur Nagar (L.B.Nagar) Assembly constituency in Hyderabad. The constituency, which has over 4.5 lakh voters, includes various neighborhood areas such as LB Nagar, Champapet, Karmanghat, and Dilsukhnagar. D Sudheer Reddy from the INC is the current MLA, but there is fierce competition among candidates from BRS, INC, and BJP for a ticket from this constituency.

In the last elections held in 2018, D Sudheer Reddy won with 105,303 votes. BRS candidate M Ram Mohan Goud came in second, and BJP candidate Shekar Rao Perala secured a smaller percentage of votes. D Sudheer Reddy initially won the MLA seat under the INC ticket but later joined BRS. Other aspirants from BRS include Ram Mohan Goud, K Satyanarayana, and Uppala Srinivas Gupta. The BJP also has hopeful candidates in Dr. G Manohar Reddy and Sama Ranga Reddy. The Congress party is considering Darapally Rajashekar Reddy, J Prabhakar Reddy, and M Rama Reddy as potential candidates.

One of the major concerns in this constituency is waterlogging during the monsoon season, particularly affecting Saroornagar and BN Reddy residents. Despite promises to address the issue, authorities have not resolved it adequately. The SNDP works have started but are progressing slowly. Every year during heavy rains, shops have to close due to flooded roads. Residents face property and vehicle damage, causing fear and ongoing struggles for the community.
