A case of disproportionate assets has been registered against Mahbubabad sub-registrar Taslima Mohammed, who was caught by ACB while taking a bribe in March. ACB searches in Taslima’s house and her relatives’ houses found huge amounts of assets. Taslima, a sub-registrar in Mahabubabad, was caught by the ACB on March 22 and arrested. One month later, investigations on her properties revealed assets exceeding her income.
Under the order of the ACB court, inspections were led by DSP P Sambaiah. Six houses were searched simultaneously, including Taslima’s house and her relatives’ houses. It was discovered that the assets exceeded their income. Houses, lands, and vehicles were accumulated in the name of her family members, totaling up to Rs.2.95 crores.
