The political environment in the state is tense over various issues. The upcoming budget session of the State Assembly is expected to be very eventful, as the ruling Congress and opposition BRS are prepared for intense debates.
The State government has told Secretaries and Heads of Departments (HoDs) to cancel their leaves and be available during the Assembly session. These Secretaries are responsible for providing all necessary information to Ministers about issues raised by the Opposition.
Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari has instructed officials to promptly answer all questions raised by legislators with complete information. She held a meeting with senior officials on Saturday to discuss preparations for the budget session. She emphasized that senior officials must be present during the session to ensure smooth communication.
Special Chief Secretary of Finance, K Ramakrishna Rao, announced that the annual State Budget will be presented on Thursday. After that, there will be discussions on the demands of various departments. He asked officials to prepare notes on these demands and the outcome budget in advance. This will give MLAs enough time to read and discuss the matters. Senior officials will be available to Ministers at all times to clarify any issues raised by the Opposition during debates in the Assembly.
