SR University in Warangal has become a popular choice for students who did well in their Intermediate exams. The Chancellor, A Varada Reddy, stated that the university has created an innovative educational environment and is ranked 91st in 2022, with a rank band of 101-150 in the university category. SRU has achieved the All India first rank among private colleges in Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements – 2020 (ARIIA). The university’s existing B.Tech programmes are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in Tier-I category.
The Chancellor mentioned that the university has partnered with industries such as Microsoft, CYIENT, Siemens, Arm, Divyasree NSL Infratech, and Electromation Technologies to bridge the talent gap and upskill students in fields like Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT, Additive Manufacturing, Automation, and Robotics. The Vice Chancellor, Dr. G R C Reddy, praised SR University for introducing innovative programmes that offer flexibility for students to choose courses of their liking and graduate with multi-disciplinary skills.
The Dual Degree and International Engineering programme (IEP) provide new opportunities for students to connect and network with students of other disciplines. Dr. Reddy also mentioned that students in the IEP programme pay substantially less than their counterparts studying in the USA for their bachelor’s engineering degree. They spend less on boarding and lodging charges as their study period for a bachelor’s degree in the USA is one year. The programme gives students an opportunity to graduate from a US university ranked among the top 150 universities in the world.
According to the Director of Admissions, Dr. Sheshagiri Rao, there is an overwhelming response from students to join undergraduate programmes at SRU. The university has attracted some of the top performers of the Intermediate examination 2023, including K Pooja, Vinuthana G, K Deepika, Sri Vidhya J, and Nanditha M, who have chosen to pursue Computer Science and Engineering at SRU.
