    AIMIM chief MP Asaduddin Owaisi expressed his hope that the ‘enemies of India’s diversity be defeated’ this time, indirectly referring to the ruling BJP. On Independence Day, he wished the citizens and prayed for the nation to be blessed with peace and prosperity. After hoisting flags at various locations in the city, he tweeted his best wishes and hopes for unity.

    Asaduddin Owaisi rode on his Triumph bike and visited localities with a significant Muslim population to hoist flags. He started at Aqsa hotel in Bholakpur, Musheerabad, and then proceeded to AG Colony in Erragadda, Sriram Nagar X Roads in Rahmath Nagar, Gulshan Colony near Qutub Shahi Tombs, and finally Madina Circle near Charminar.

    Meanwhile, his brother and party floor leader in the Assembly, Akbaruddin Owaisi, unfurled the national flag at the Fatima Owaisi KG to PG campus in Bandlaguda. Earlier in the day, S A Hussain Anwar, the party’s Joint Secretary, hoisted the Tricolour at Party Headquarters, Darussalam.
