During the trip, students learned about the history of the Kakatiya Empire and the significance of Vardhamanapuram. The area has several ancient temples, some dating back to the Kakatiya period. The name “Nandi Vaddeman” is believed to come from the presence of Nandi, the sacred vehicle of Lord Shiva. One of the most famous temples in the area is the Shani temple.
