On the occasion of the consecration ceremony at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir, many artists from Telangana have created portraits of Lord Ram. These artistic representations include intricate designs on leaves and rice, as well as unconventional elements like nose art.
One of the artists, Gundu Shiva Kumar, has engraved depictions of Lord Ram and the Ayodhya Ram temple on various leaves. He has been doing leaf art for the past two years and decided to create around 20 portraits of Lord Ram and one of the newly built temple on sacred fig tree leaves, Indian almond, and Banyan tree leaves. It took him three days to carve one portrait.
Satyavolu Rambabu, another artist from Hyderabad, has planned to create a portrait of Lord Ram using his nose as a unique medium of expression. He has been drawing various portraits for the past 18 years and sees this as a heartfelt tribute to Lord Ram.
B Rajendar from Nirmal District showcased a mesmerizing portrait using rice grains. In each rice grain, he engraved Lord Ram’s name in three languages: Hindi, English, and Telugu. He completed this portrait in 10 days and plans to hand it over to the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust soon.
