Warangal: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s initiative of supplying free fish seedlings has benefited the fishermen community and contributed to their economic growth, according to MLA Aroori Ramesh. On Saturday, fishlings worth approximately Rs 4.64 lakh were released in the Konareddycheruvu tank in Wardhannapet. Ramesh highlighted that unlike the fishermen community in other parts of the country, Telangana’s fishermen community is thriving.

Ramesh added that the fishermen community in Telangana also receives subsidised loans and vehicles through the IFDS program. Additionally, the government provides subsidies for purchasing high-quality nets, two-wheelers, luggage autos, and vehicles for mobile shops to sell fish. Furthermore, the government offers training in fish processing and marketing to enhance the skills of fishermen.
