The Andhra Pradesh and Telangana NCC Directorate performed exceptionally well at the Republic Day Camp 2024. The camp took place at Cariappa Parade Ground in Delhi Cantonment from January 1 to 29.
A group of 128 cadets from the AP&T NCC Directorate participated in the camp and received several awards. SGT M. Srisanth and Cdt N. Dheeraj won the titles of All India Best Cadet in Army and Navy respectively. They were presented with the Best Cadet trophy and cane by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Republic Day Parade. Cadets SK Rehana, SUO S Chittesh Rao, and Cpl G Lohith won Gold Medals in different equestrian events.
Cadet SUO Akanksha Bhosle secured second place in the Best Cadet Army Senior Wing category. Cadet Mahi Baldev received the DGNCC Commendation Card for her excellent performance during various VIP visits and centrally organized functions during the camp. Additionally, 15 Senior Wing Cadets marched along Kartavya Path on Republic Day to show their commitment to the nation.
The Directorate also achieved first place in the group song competition and third position in the National Integration Awareness Programme. The cadets had the opportunity to visit esteemed dignitaries such as the President, Prime Minister, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Naval Staff, Chief of Air Staff, Director General – NCC, and had a Dinner with the Defence Minister.
These interactions provided valuable insights into the lives of dignitaries and the leadership within the defense establishment. The Andhra Pradesh and Telangana NCC Directorate is proud of its cadets’ exceptional performance and contributions to the success of Republic Day celebrations. Their achievements reflect their commitment to excellence, discipline, and the values that our nation stands for.
