Heavy Rains Predicted for Andhra Pradesh
A private weather agency, Skymet, has forecast more heavy rains for Andhra Pradesh. This prediction comes after the state was recently affected by floods. Skymet has reported that two low-pressure systems are forming over the Bay of Bengal, which could bring more rain to different parts of the state. There is also a chance that a cyclone may develop near the Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu coasts on October 7 or 8, which could further impact the weather.
Currently, low-level winds are blowing west-northwest over Andhra Pradesh and Yanam. These winds may lead to heavy rains in certain areas, especially in the Rayalaseema region. Thunderstorms and lightning are also expected in various parts of Andhra Pradesh and Yanam due to this low-pressure system.
In addition, Skymet has warned that if the cyclone forms, it could affect not only Andhra Pradesh but also Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Odisha, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. Another low-pressure system has already developed over the southern Bay of Bengal. This system is expected to cause thunderstorms and heavy rain in Northeast India, particularly in West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand, between October 5 and 7.
The repeated warnings of bad weather are worrying for Andhra Pradesh, which is still dealing with the effects of recent floods. Authorities are urging people to stay alert and take precautions to prevent further damage.
