Amrapali Kata, the new Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner, has instructed officials to focus on the attendance of swachh autos that clean the city roads. She wants Zonal Commissioners, Additional Commissioners, and entomology wing officers to keep track of absenteeism among Swachh Autos and make sure they stick to their schedules.

During a teleconference on Monday, the Commissioner emphasized that Swachh Autos should only collect garbage from commercial areas at night. Serilingampally Zonal Commissioner, Upender Reddy, has been given the responsibility of setting an example for sanitation practices.

The Additional Commissioner (UCD) has been asked to review parking rates at cinema theatres, while cracking down on illegal construction is also a priority for senior officials.
