Wanaparthy District: District Collector Adarsh Surabhi has given instructions as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva programme. He stated that every sanitation worker in the district must undergo a medical check-up and be covered under the Jeevan Jyoti and Suraksha Yojana insurance schemes.
On Friday morning, the Collector visited several villages, including Anjanagiri, Pangal, and Bandapalli, as part of the district’s “Dry Day” initiative. During his visit, he inspected the ongoing Dry Day activities in these villages.
In addition to checking the Dry Day programs, Collector Adarsh Surabhi also assessed the progress of construction work at the Amma Adarsh School. He instructed that a measurement book should be prepared for completed work and submitted by Monday.
The Collector inquired whether the sanitation workers in the villages had undergone medical examinations and whether they were enrolled in insurance policies like Jeevan Jyoti and Suraksha Yojana. He emphasized that the Swachhata Hi Seva program will continue until October 2. As part of this initiative, the rural development department has been directed to ensure medical check-ups and insurance coverage for every multi-purpose worker in the district, linking the insurance policies to their bank accounts.
