The Khammam “Rythu Gosa-JP Bharosa” event, which will be addressed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday, is important because it follows the TPCC public meeting held at Chevella where AICC president Mallkarjun Kharge listed the accomplishments of Congress since Independence.
Shah was originally scheduled to visit Khammam and address a public meeting, but it was postponed multiple times. He will now land in Vijayawada and travel to Bhadrachalam in a chopper. After offering prayers at the Ram temple, he will proceed to Khammam.
During his address, Shah will respond to Kharge’s claims about Congress’s achievements and explain what the BJP plans to do for farmers if they are elected for a third consecutive term. He will also discuss the promises made by the BRS government to farmers, such as the loan waiver scheme, and how they have not been fulfilled. Additionally, he will address the issue of recent rains and the impact on farmers who are still waiting for government assistance.
During his visit, Shah will meet with senior party leaders to discuss issues like anti-incumbency against the BRS government and the party’s preparations for the upcoming elections. He will also provide reports from the central government and party regarding the ground situation in relation to the polls.
The Khammam meeting is expected to mark the beginning of BJP’s aggressive campaign, targeting farmers, women, youth, and employees. State BJP President G Kishen Reddy, Eatala Rajender, K Laxman, and other state leaders will also participate in the event.
