New Delhi: In a bid to galvanize the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) machinery ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Telangana on March 12. Sources confirm that Shah will convene a crucial meeting with the BJP booth committee president and party office bearers in Hyderabad to outline strategies and provide guidance to party leaders and workers.

The meeting, slated to be held at the LB Stadium, will witness the presence of the Union Home Minister as he navigates through pivotal discussions regarding the electoral roadmap for the parliamentary elections. Shah is expected to delve into strategies aimed at mobilizing voters at every booth, underscoring the importance of grassroots-level engagement.

Amidst the political backdrop, Shah will also shed light on the development and welfare initiatives spearheaded by the Narendra Modi-led government over the past decade. Emphasizing continuity, he is likely to appeal to the electorate to usher in another term for Prime Minister Modi.

The BJP, eyeing significant gains in Telangana, has intensified its groundwork in the state. A series of Victory Mission tours covering 17 parliamentary constituencies has already been conducted, indicative of the party’s concerted efforts.

Moreover, the BJP has wasted no time in finalizing its roster for the electoral battle. Candidates for nine out of the 17 parliamentary constituencies in Telangana have been announced, with the party showcasing its intent to capture more seats this time around.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a recent rally, bolstered the spirits of BJP workers during his visit to the states. The party’s momentum received an added impetus with Modi’s reaffirmation of commitment towards the electoral fray.

Earlier this month, the BJP unveiled its initial list of 195 candidates for the Lok Sabha polls. Prime Minister Modi is slated to contest from Varanasi once again, symbolizing continuity and confidence within the party ranks.

Of the 195 candidates announced, 34 are incumbent ministers from the Center and States, further underlining the BJP’s emphasis on experienced leadership. Additionally, two former chief ministers find themselves on the BJP’s electoral roster, signaling a blend of seasoned veterans and fresh faces in the electoral arena.

In the backdrop of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance’s resounding victory in 2019, securing a staggering 303 seats, the stage is set for another riveting electoral contest. With the Lok Sabha polls expected to take place in April-May this year, all eyes are on the political landscape as parties gear up for a high-stakes battle for power.
