In Bihar’s Lakhisarai district, Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, calling him a ‘Paltu Babu’ (Mr. U-turn). Shah expressed disappointment that Kumar, who had previously benefited from certain individuals and sat with them, is now questioning the work done by the central government over nine years. Shah highlighted the efforts made by Prime Minister Modi across the country during this time. He called upon Kumar to explain his contributions to Bihar and criticized him for focusing more on changing alliance partners. Shah questioned whether a leader who keeps changing alliances can be trusted with the reins of Bihar.
Shah also accused Kumar of deceiving Lalu Yadav by falsely claiming that he doesn’t aspire to become the Prime Minister. Shah stated that Kumar intends to remain in Bihar and has united various opponents of the BJP. Shah’s visit came after a gathering in Patna where leaders from 15 Opposition parties pledged to challenge the BJP in the 2024 national elections.
Responding to this meeting, Shah criticized the leaders who had previously left the NDA and emphasized the need for strict punishment for their actions. He also highlighted that these 20 Opposition parties were involved in corruption and scams worth ₹20 lakh crores from 2004 to 2014.
Shah noted that the Congress party has been trying to launch Rahul Gandhi into politics for the past 20 years without success. He mentioned that even in the recent attempt in Patna, Congress failed to successfully launch him.
Shah also addressed the issue of terrorist attacks in India. He pointed out that during the Congress-led government, they did not respond effectively and seemed passive. However, under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the Indian government swiftly responded to attacks like Pulwama and Uri within 10 days. Through surgical strikes and air strikes, they eliminated the threat from Pakistan.
