    Hyderabad:

BRS working president KT Rama Rao stated on Thursday that he is ready to be arrested multiple times for the sake of the people. Speaking during an informal interaction with the media at Telangana Bhavan, he expressed his willingness to be arrested “a hundred times” if it meant supporting the poor and tribals. Rao also mentioned that he wanted the Congress government to continue for five years, with A Revanth Reddy as the Chief Minister, so the party would make more mistakes, causing people to lose trust in them.

Rao revealed that he was expecting to be arrested later in the night, but said that there were no valid proofs against him. He questioned the reason behind his possible arrest, stating, “What mistake have I committed to get arrested?” He also denied any involvement in illegal activities, such as consuming drugs or participating in conspiracies. Additionally, he advised the CM to be cautious of leaders within his own party, such as Bhatti Vikramarka and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.

Regarding his name being mentioned in a remand report, Rao dismissed it as a “Revanth Reddy report.” He pointed out that Narender Reddy, a key figure in the case, had written a letter to the Judge stating that he did not give any such statement to the police. Rao also clarified that the accused, Suresh, was a party worker and that he had only spoken to him to encourage protests on behalf of the people. He questioned whether it was a crime to talk to a party leader or worker. Concluding his remarks, Rao vowed to continue exposing alleged corruption by the Congress government.
