All India Ambedkar Youth Association Demands Action on Land Misuse in Aiza Mandal
The All India Ambedkar Youth Association has submitted a representation at the Aiza Mandal Tahsildar Office, urging the administration to address the illegal misuse of government and assigned lands. The representation was handed over to Senior Assistant Kiran by the Jogulamba Gadwal District President, Macherla Prakash, and association leader S. Raju.
The association called for urgent measures to protect and reclaim thousands of acres of government and assigned lands that are being misused across Aiza Mandal and the district. They demanded strict legal action against individuals who have illegally acquired ownership records (ORCs) for these lands.
Leaders of the association also highlighted the fraudulent sale of 459 acres of assigned lands meant for Dalits. They emphasized that these lands should be returned to their original beneficiaries, and action should be taken against those who profited by selling or transferring these properties illegally.
Additionally, the association expressed concerns over influential landlords and wealthy individuals who have been involved in land grabbing and encroachments. They urged the administration to conduct a village-by-village survey to identify government and assigned lands and prevent further misuse.
Key Demands by the Association:
1. Conduct a thorough audit of government and assigned lands across the district.
2. Take legal action under the Prevention of Land Grabbing Act (POPI) against those who illegally acquired ORCs.
3. Install signage boards on all government and assigned lands to ensure transparency.
4. Publish details of government and assigned lands on village panchayat and municipal office notice boards.
5. Protect government and assigned lands from open plotting and illegal registrations.
6. Include assigned lands in the 22-A register to prevent unauthorized registrations.
The association reiterated the importance of safeguarding these lands to ensure justice for marginalized communities and protect them from exploitation by powerful individuals.
Several leaders from the Ambedkar Youth Association, including Avinash, Naresh, David, Suresh, and Samuel, actively participated in the initiative.
