    Aman Preet Singh, the brother of actress Rakul Preet Singh, was arrested by Hyderabad Police for involvement in a drug case. The arrest was made during a joint operation by the Narcotics Bureau and Rajendra Nagar SOT Police, supervised by Cyberabad Police.

    At a press conference, Hyderabad Police confirmed Aman’s arrest along with 13 others for drug consumption. Five individuals were also taken into custody for drug peddling. Aman tested positive for cocaine use and is set to appear in court soon.

    The police did not disclose the details of Aman’s connection to the accused drug peddlers but mentioned that the investigation is ongoing to determine the extent of his involvement. The network of accused individuals includes Indian and Nigerian nationals with prior criminal records.

    Concern has been raised by the police about the rise in drug consumption among affluent youth in Hyderabad, leading to a demand-driven drug ecosystem in the city. Apart from Aman, 12 others have been identified as drug consumers.

    Rakul Preet Singh had previously faced scrutiny in a money laundering case connected to drugs, but the police clarified that she is not involved in the current case and advised against linking her to the ongoing investigation.

    The drug bust resulted in the confiscation of 199 grams of cocaine, two passports, two bikes, and ten cell phones. Five individuals were arrested for drug peddling, while two suspects managed to escape capture.
