Icon Star Allu Arjun, along with director Sukumar and the team of Pushpa 2: The Rule, expressed deep sorrow over a tragic stampede that occurred before the film’s premiere. The incident claimed the life of a woman named Revathi. Reacting to the heartbreaking news, Allu Arjun announced a donation of ₹25 lakhs to support her family and pledged further assistance in the future.
Speaking about the tragedy, Allu Arjun shared his pain, stating, “For the past 20 years, I have always watched my films with the audience, and this time was no different. It’s heartbreaking that Revathi garu lost her life in the stampede at RTC X Roads. The joy of the film’s release was overshadowed by this tragedy. While we cannot undo the loss, I am committed to supporting her family.” He added that the ₹25 lakh donation would help secure the future of Revathi’s two children, and he also vowed to cover the medical expenses of her injured child.
Allu Arjun further reflected on the emotional toll of the incident, saying, “Our films are made to bring joy to families, but such incidents drain us emotionally. My heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving family. I assure them they are not alone. I will meet with them personally to provide support and stand by them during this painful time while respecting their privacy.”
