Hyderabad: Sirpur MLA Dr. Palvai Harish Babu has made a strong request to the State government regarding the Komuram Bheem Asifabad district. He suggested that if the government does not allocate enough funds to this district, it should consider merging it with the neighboring state of Maharashtra.

During a debate on the Budget proposals for irrigation and civil supplies for the financial year 2024–25 in the State Assembly on Tuesday, Dr. Palvai expressed his concerns. He emphasized that the backward Komuram Bheem Asifabad district needs more financial support.

Dr. Palvai voiced his frustration, stating that if funds are not provided, the district should be merged with Maharashtra. He also called for the creation of a house committee to study and suggest ways to improve the backward areas in the State.
