Gadwal: The All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) district president, B. Anjaneyulu, and former AISF leader, G. Paresh Babu, stressed the importance of workers coming together under the red flag to fight for their rights. They believe this unity is necessary to challenge governments that favor the interests of the wealthy and capitalists. They called on all workers to stand up against policies that cater to the rich and argued that only a government led by workers can ensure a better future for the laboring masses. AITUC celebrated its 105th foundation day on Thursday.

During the event, Anjaneyulu spoke about AITUC’s significant role in India’s independence movement. He praised the union’s long history and honored important leaders who contributed to its success, such as Lala Lajpat Rai, Jawaharlal Nehru, V.V. Giri, Subhash Chandra Bose, Sarojini Devi, Bhagat Singh, and Dange. Since being founded on October 31, 1920, in Bombay, AITUC has worked to improve the lives of laborers, including securing legal protections and welfare measures.

Anjaneyulu also criticized the Modi government for merging 29 labor laws into four labor codes. He argued that these changes took away many rights that workers had fought hard to win while benefiting the capitalist class. With over 100 years of experience advocating for workers’ rights, AITUC remains committed to supporting laborers and continuing the fight for justice. Anjaneyulu urged workers to stand with AITUC and support its ongoing campaigns to protect their rights.
