Passengers on an Air India flight from Delhi to Sydney, known as AI 302, experienced minor injuries due to mid-air turbulence on Tuesday. The aircraft, a Boeing 787-800, encountered turbulence during the flight which resulted in passengers complaining of minor sprains. However, the cabin crew, with the assistance of a doctor and nurse who were also passengers on the flight, provided first aid using the onboard first aid kit.
The flight landed safely in Sydney in the early hours of Wednesday and Air India’s airport manager arranged for medical assistance. Only three passengers availed of this service and none of them required hospitalisation. According to an Air India spokesperson, the airline regrets any discomfort that passengers may have experienced during the flight.
