Hyderabad: The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MLA from Nampally, Mohammed Majid Hussain, announced on Wednesday that the party opposes a new project for power bill collection in the Old City. This project has been given to the Adani Group.

Hussain stated that the AIMIM is against the privatization of the power sector, which includes GENCO, TRANSCO, and other discoms. He expressed concern about giving the responsibility of power bill collection to Adani Power in the Old City.

He also urged the Congress government to keep all the promises made in its manifesto. This includes implementing the six guarantees promised by the party by finding the necessary resources.
