New Delhi: The All India Congress Committee (AICC), led by Girija Vyas, who is the chairman of the Vichar Vibhag of AICC, made a key appointment on Friday. The committee has named Desh Kanth as the National Coordinator for Vichar Vibagh. This is seen as an important move aimed at strengthening the ideological reach of the Indian National Congress.
Desh Kanth has a strong political background. From 2012 to 2014, he served as the Andhra Pradesh State Working President of the Nationalist Congress Party (N.C.P.). Later, in 2014, he joined the Congress Party and continued his political career with the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC).
Since joining the Congress, Desh Kanth has played a significant role in various party programs. He has actively participated in protests (Dharnas) and contributed to election campaigns for both assembly and parliament elections in 2019 and 2024. His involvement has been crucial in shaping the party’s efforts in these elections.
