Nagar Kurnool: On the second day of the National Service Scheme (NSS) special camp, students from Professor Jayashankar Agricultural College, Palem, took part in spreading awareness about soil testing to the villagers of Thoodukurthi. The students explained why soil testing is important and shared safety tips for pesticide spraying.

NSS Program Officer, Eetela Satyanarayana, stressed that every farmer should conduct soil tests every two years. This helps them understand the nutrient levels in the soil. Based on the test results, farmers can apply the right organic fertilizers. He also encouraged farmers to collect soil samples during the non-crop seasons and send them to the Palem Agricultural College for testing.
