AIMIM chief MP Asaduddin Owaisi has drawn parallels between the recent incident in UP’s Muzaffarnagar and the discrimination faced by Jews in the 1930s. In a viral video, a female teacher allegedly encouraged students to physically harm a Muslim classmate. Owaisi shared a picture on social media showing two Jewish students being humiliated in front of their classmates, with the teacher teaching that ‘Jews were the biggest enemy’.
Owaisi reacted to a post shared by Francois-Xavier Durandy from France, expressing concern that Indian Muslims are facing similar persecution and discrimination as Jews did in the 1930s. He also mentioned the possibility of such discrimination leading to a situation like Kristallnacht, which was a period of violence orchestrated by Nazis against Jews and their property in Germany in the 1930s.
The picture shared by Durandy showed two Jewish boys being humiliated in a German classroom, with the blackboard displaying a message that warned of the dangers of Jews. In the picture, a student can be seen teaching others to discriminate against Jews, while two Jewish students bow their heads.
Owaisi’s comparison highlights his concern over the treatment of Indian Muslims and the potential consequences of such discrimination. The viral video from Muzaffarnagar serves as a reminder of the importance of addressing discrimination and promoting inclusivity in society.
