Punjab Kings lost to Delhi Capitals by 15 runs in the IPL 2023 match. Delhi Capitals scored 213/2 while Punjab Kings made 198/8. Liam Livingstone of England played well, making 94 runs from 48 balls but it was not enough to win the game. Shikhar Dhawan, the captain of Punjab Kings, was not happy with his team’s performance and blamed the bowlers for not performing well in the first six overs. He also said that his decision to use left-arm spinner Harpeet Brar in the 20th over was not good as he ended up conceding 23 runs, including two wides. Dhawan believes that his team’s inability to stop the runs in powerplays could be the reason for their failed campaign this season.
