Hyderabad:
The Adventure Club of Telangana State (ACTS) has taken an important step to promote adventure sports across the state. ACTS has partnered with Sports Village to provide more opportunities for people to engage in various adventure activities. The collaboration was announced when ACTS founder K. Ranga Rao, co-founder Bajrang Shah, and Sports Village CEO Mohammad Shamsuddin met with State Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao at Ravindra Bharathi. They were joined by ACTS Joint Secretary Arif.
During the meeting, the team informed the Minister about the different activities the club offers. These include kayaking, bungee jumping, water rafting, scuba diving, rock climbing, paragliding, and para jumping, among others.
Minister Krishna Rao appreciated ACTS for encouraging young people in Telangana to take up adventure sports and bring recognition to the state. The ACTS team requested the Tourism Minister to officially recognize them as a resource agency for the Tourism Department. This would allow them to work together to expand the club’s activities, particularly in motivating and mentoring students. They also explained that partnerships between tourism ministries and adventure sports clubs can help promote tourist locations that are ideal for such sports.
The Minister listened carefully to their requests and responded positively. He showed interest in supporting adventure sports in Telangana, which has many locations suitable for these activities. He also highlighted the importance of promoting eco-adventure tourism in the state.
In addition, the Minister praised ACTS for its plans to organize a Climbing and Speed Bouldering Championship for the “Sports Climbing” CM’s Cup. This event is scheduled to take place from January 8 to 12, 2025.
Ranga Rao, ACTS founder, encouraged young people between the ages of 18 and 30 to join the club. Interested individuals can contact 78935 98297 via WhatsApp to enroll.
