    In Hyderabad, Additional Director General of Police Abhilasha Bisht handed out scholarships to the children of deceased police officers at an event in Lakdikapul. A total of Rs 14.87 lakh was given in cheques by Telangana State Police Academy’s Director and Acting Welfare Officer, Additional DGP Abhilasha Bisht. HDFC Bank offers ‘Parivarthan’ scholarships to students from families of deceased police officers for education from LKG to postgraduate studies.

    HDFC Bank has granted Parivarthan scholarships to 151 individuals over the last three years, with 58 recipients receiving scholarships this academic year. Additionally, HDFC Bank officials disclosed that Rs 3.75 crore was given to the families of 11 home guards who had accounts with the bank and passed away due to accidents, and Rs 4.44 crore went to the families of 16 deceased police officers who had accounts.
