Nizamabad: Additional Collector Kiran Kumar visited several paddy procurement centers in various villages on Tuesday. These centers were set up by cooperative societies in places like Bada Bhingal, Chengal, Babapur, and Pallikonda.
During his visit, Kiran Kumar checked how the paddy collected from farmers was being stored. He also reviewed the facilities provided at the centers to ensure that farmers were comfortable. While interacting with the farmers, he asked if they were facing any problems at the centers.
To improve conditions, Kiran Kumar suggested that tarpaulins should be made available and all basic amenities should be provided to avoid any inconvenience. He also stressed the importance of coordination among all officials to ensure the smooth running of the paddy procurement process.
He instructed that the paddy brought by farmers should be weighed immediately, loaded onto trucks, and sent to the rice mills quickly. He further emphasized the need for continuous supervision to ensure that the paddy is unloaded promptly at the mills. DRDO Saya Goud and other officials accompanied the Additional Collector during this inspection.
