    In Mulugu, the District Additional Collector P Sreeja conducted a surprise inspection of Employment Guarantee Scheme works and ordered officials to provide basic facilities to laborers on site. The inspection took place in Ailapuram village in Kannaigudem mandal.

    During the inspection, the Additional Collector checked the laborers’ attendance records, availability of drinking water, shelter, and other facilities at the workplace. Due to the hot weather, officials were instructed to provide ORS packets to the workers. The Additional Collector also met with members of women’s associations in Ailapuram village to discuss ways to improve their economic conditions.

    Additionally, the tribal school operated by Bheem Children Foundation and ITDA Ashram schools in Ailapuram village were inspected. Officials were directed to ensure that students do not face any inconvenience before the next academic year and to maintain sanitation in the village. The inspection was attended by EGS staff, medical personnel, members of women’s associations, and others.
