In Gadwal, an important announcement was made by Govindayya, the Assistant Director of the District Handloom and Textiles Department. He shared that an awareness program is being set up for those interested in joining the Diploma in Handloom Technology course. This course is offered by the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology.
There are 60 seats available for this three-year course, which is conducted through Potti Sriramulu University in Hyderabad. Students who have completed their 10th-grade education are eligible to apply. The deadline for submitting applications is August 31. To help students understand the admission process better, a special meeting will be held on August 17 at 10:00 AM at Haritha Hotel in the district. Mr. Ratan Kumar, a Special Officer, will lead this meeting. He will cover important topics such as course details and admission procedures. The leaders of weaver associations and master weavers from Jogulamba Gadwal, Wanaparthy, and Nagar Kurnool districts are invited to be a part of this awareness program.
