Popular Telugu actress and cancer survivor Gautami spoke at a cancer awareness event organized by the Pratima Foundation in Hanamkonda on Tuesday. She highlighted the crucial role of NGOs and the government in spreading awareness and supporting underprivileged cancer patients.

Gautami pointed out that many cancer patients from poor backgrounds struggle to recover because they don’t have access to proper nutrition. She urged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to provide nutritious food kits to such patients to improve their chances of healing.

Sharing her own experience, Gautami spoke about how she overcame her fears during her cancer battle. She said her determination to fight for her child kept her strong. She also stressed the importance of early detection and following medical advice for effective treatment.

She noted that people in smaller cities are just as interested in health initiatives as those in big cities. She assured that the Foundation would continue to organize such programs to raise cancer awareness.

Warangal MP Kadiyam Kavya also supported the idea of holding health camps for early cancer detection. She applauded the Pratima Foundation for their efforts in spreading awareness.

Earlier in the day, over 1,000 students and young people participated in a walkathon from Public Gardens to Kaloji Auditorium in Hanamkonda. Their participation showed their commitment to the cause of cancer awareness.
