According to party sources, Sharmila in final talks with Congress

Sharmila, the leader of the YSRTP party, is in talks with the Congress party in Telangana. She recently met with top Congress leaders and is expected to go to Delhi soon for further discussions. It is unclear whether she will merge her party with Congress or just form an alliance. Sharmila has put forward some conditions for working with the Congress, including contesting from Paleru and having key responsibilities in TPCC. She has also requested that seats be allotted to those who have requested them. Sharmila has stated that she will only be involved in Telangana politics and not AP politics. Congress Telangana in-charge Manik Rao Thackeray has confirmed that Sharmila is in touch with the Congress. There may be a meeting between Sharmila and Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi after further discussions.
