Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Rajahmahendravaram Central Prison, M Ravi Kiran, has stated that the team of doctors who examined TDP president Chandrababu Naidu in jail found him to be in good health. After thorough examination, the doctors determined that there was no need for him to be admitted to the hospital.

Naidu’s family had expressed concerns about his declining health while in jail, prompting a five-member team of doctors from Government General Hospital to examine him. Ravi Kiran assured the media that all necessary security measures were in place for Naidu and that the officials were not negligent in any way. The recommendations made by the doctors regarding Naidu’s health will be submitted to the court.

As a high-profile prisoner, all medical reports of Naidu were handed over to his advocates with his consent. Dermatologists who examined him provided recommendations for treating his skin allergy. Ravi Kiran clarified that the police would follow protocol and treat all prisoners equally, and air-conditioning facilities cannot be arranged for Naidu unless the court deems it necessary.

Dr. Siva Kumar, a member of the doctors’ team, confirmed that Naidu has a skin allergy but there was no need to transfer him to the hospital. They consulted Naidu’s personal doctor’s team and provided necessary treatment. The doctors were not aware of his preexisting conditions before he was placed in jail and did not recommend steroids.
