AAP workers in New Delhi staged a protest on Thursday against the arrest of Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh in connection with the excise policy case. The protesters gathered at the AAP party office and demanded the release of Sanjay Singh.

The police made arrangements to contain the protesters and ensure law and order. Aam Aadmi Party leaders Atishi, Gopal Rai, Jarnail Singh, Priyanka Kakkar, and Reena Gupta were present at the protest. Gopal Rai alleged that Singh’s arrest was a ploy by the BJP to win the upcoming elections.

The AAP accused the Centre of trying to silence Sanjay Singh and challenged the government to provide evidence against him. Atishi claimed that multiple raids conducted by the ED and CBI in the past 15 months found no evidence of corruption against AAP leaders, including Singh. She also challenged the BJP to make any evidence they have public.

Atishi emphasized that AAP will not be intimidated by arrest threats from the BJP. The arrest of Sanjay Singh has sparked a political dispute between AAP and the BJP.
