Members of the Rajiv Rahadari Properties Owners met with Hyderabad District Collector Anudeep Durishetty to discuss concerns about the upcoming elevated corridor project in Secunderabad Cantonment. They requested that the planned road widening be limited to 100 feet instead of 200 feet.

During the meeting, the members expressed worries that widening the road to 200 feet would result in the displacement of thousands of families. They feared that this would leave many people homeless. Instead, they urged the authorities to restrict the expansion to 100 feet, which they believed would be a more practical and less disruptive solution.

Telukunta Satish Gupta, the Chairman of Rajiv Rahadari Properties Owners JAC, highlighted that the ongoing road expansion had already forced many tenants to vacate their rented homes, causing severe inconvenience. He also pointed out that the recent increase in property tax had placed an additional financial burden on affected residents.

Gupta further suggested that the State government should roll back the property tax hike and suspend tax collection until the road widening process was finished. He also mentioned that the Electricity Department was pressuring residents to install individual transformers, which was adding more financial stress to the people already struggling with the situation.
